A Note from the Director...

Dear Families and Friends,

“There is a destiny that makes us brothers, no one goes his own way alone; all that we send into the lives of others, comes back into our own.”- Edwin Markham.
So many parents of CPCFCCC children give generously of their time:
Panda parents have volunteered as team captains for Panda Olympics
Preschool parents chaperoned field trips to the Zoo
School age parents walk children over from clubs at Hillcrest
Parents of all age groups take the time to share their thoughts and deep feelings about their child– especially about ways that affect other children.
We are truly fortunate to have such a caring and involved community!
Further opportunities for involvement include the Playground Work Day on Saturday, May 15 from 9:00-12:00, and something brand new– working with us on our first ever Catonsville 4th of July parade float! And if you have experience with floats, or ideas for our float, please let us know!

Thank you,
Nancy J. Wagner

A Note from the Assistant Director...

Dear Parents,

Finally, Spring has arrived! The preschool classes are enjoying extra time on our beautiful playground, and the Playground Committee is busy preparing for our upcoming work day on May 15 from 9:00-noon. The Center will provide coffee and doughnuts in the morning and pizza for lunch. We will be spreading woodchips, installing replacement parts, gardening, general cleaning, and more! Please RSVP to me at 410-747-4581 if you can attend. As always, please feel free to stop by my office with any questions or concerns. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Heather Cohill

Spotlight On:The Hornets Class

The Hornets classroom has been busy working hard all year on being helpful to their friends and teachers. Twice a month, each child is assigned a section of the room to “manage”. When a child is caught independently managing their area, they are given a sticker to put on their “Helping Hornets” chart. After 5 stickers, they are able to pick a prize from the prize bin! In addition to their classroom areas, anytime a Hornet is caught being helpful, they are rewarded. I am happy to say that we have handed out a lot of prizes this year!

Extra Clothes

As the weather is warming up, please make sure your child has a seasonally appropriate change of clothes in his/her cubby!

Happy Mother’s Day!

“Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.”
- Author Unknown
“Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”
- Elizabeth Stone
“When you are a mother, you’re never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.”
- Sophia Loren
