A Note from the Director...

Dear Parents and Friends,
I hope that you enjoyed our shared celebration of the Week of the Young Child as much as the center staff did! If you haven’t already taken time going up or down the stairs to read the “stars” and “hearts”, please pause to read a few. It is touching to see a common theme: parents want their children to grow up to be happy and healthy. Not one parent who responded mentioned material success! Families love this Center because of the staff, the friends their child makes, and our playground.
Catonsville Presbyterian Church has asked us to distribute and collect a survey that will give them important information about the relationship of the church and its child care center with the community. Please take a minute to fill out and return your survey.
Our spring fundraiser was a huge success! We made over $3000 selling Hadley Farms cinnamon buns and Yankee Candles. The profit will be devoted to teacher appreciation projects and discretionary spending for the Center.
Catonsville Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Strawberry Festival on June 7th. There is a large section of the festival devoted to children’s games. For the first time, the Child Care Center is hoping to recruit all needed volunteers for the children’s activities. Can you help us out by volunteering some time in the Kidz Zone? See Nancy, Heather, or Lauren to sign up. Thank you!

Peace,
Nancy J. Wagner

A Note from the Assistant Director...

Dear Parents,
May is always such a beautiful month; the weather finally warms up and all the trees are in bloom. Nancy and I have been busy planning our upcoming summer camp… it’s going to be fun! The Center’s end of the year picnic will be June 12th and we are closed on June 13th to allow teachers to prepare for summer camp. The summer program starts on June 16th for Preschool and School Age. We will have a summer calendar of events and trips available in June. Please feel free to stop by my office downstairs anytime if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely, Heather German

Happy Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11. We would like to wish all of our wonderful Moms, Stepmoms, Grandmoms (and anyone else!) a fantastic Mother’s Day. Thank you for everything that you do and all of the love that you give.

Tuition

Tuition is due on the first of each month, and is considered late after the 10th. You will receive a late payment charge of $35 after the tenth of the month. The first half of Summer Camp payments will be due on June 16, and the second half will be due on July 14. Please contact Ginger will any questions related to billing. Thanks!

Registration Reminder

Just a reminder to all parents… our Summer Camp will begin for Preschool and School Age children on June 16. If you have not registered for Camp, you must do so immediately, as the last day for this Fall school year is Thursday, June 12. Our Fall 2008-09 school year will begin on August 25 and ALL children must be registered for this program as well. Please see Lauren in the office if you have any questions about this registration process.

Confirmation Letters

We will be sending out confirmation letters for our Summer and Fall programs within the next few weeks. You will be getting more detailed information about the Fall program from your child’s teacher as the school year grows closer.

Change of Clothes

Please be sure your child has a seasonally appropriate change of clothes in the classroom. Accidents, spills, and messes can happen anytime and we want to be prepared!
