The component of music in worship is extremely important to us. Music is a way to focus or convey our thoughts and desires when sometimes words might fail us. Incorporated into our life at CPC is a multi-dimensional music program. There’s not one style of music that we use in our programs. We sing the old hymns and the new ones, the children’s choir sings during worship and the choir offers special music at Christmastime and Easter. Our handbell choir plays frequently throughout the year and the children play the hand-chimes.

CHANCEL CHOIR
The Chancel Choir leads the congregation in worship throughout the program year. Rehearsal is held Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Choir Room. Anyone is welcomed to join the choir regardless of music reading abilities.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR
The Children’s Choir is part of our Church School program, involving children from 3 to 12 learning to sing and participating in the worship service by offering song. The children rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the Choir Room prior to their church school classes. They sing in worship frequently throughout the church school year, adding a much loved dimension to our service.

HANDBELL CHOIR
The Handbell Choir meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. All people are invited to join the choir. The ability to read music is helpful but there is a place for anyone who has the desire to learn.
