Baltimore Presbytery Youth Rally
Thanks to all who organized, participated in, and supported this high-energy youth event. Special thanks to youth council leaders Emily Fromm and Andrew Glennan for their leadership. CPC was honored to be selected as the host church for this year’s rally – it was a blast!

Nooks and Crannies
Has your group stuck some stuff in a closet or seldom used room? Have you forgotten about it; do you still need it? Does anyone even know which group the stuff belongs to? It is time for some major clearing out of spaces. As our current storage is rather inefficient and much consolidation is needed, this is an opportunity to make an evaluation and reorganization and to clear out unneeded items.

As we proceed with renovations of our buildings, some locations are already committed, and some space will need to be used for displaced items. Several rooms on the balcony level will disappear as they will be utilized for air-conditioning mechanical equipment. One room will need to be cleared out to provide an on-site office for the construction superintendent (this saves us money).

On the main floor, the pantry space will be converted into a handicapped accessible restroom. A new stairway will impact the stage, drastically reducing the current storage area underneath. There will be tremendous pressure for storage space in the rooms by the kitchen. We have also notified the Child Care Center that they will need to consolidate their things.

The trustees are already working on clearing out the pantry. As a separate undertaking, the Boy Scouts are clearing out under the sanctuary stairs and are putting in new shelves for their use.

This spring cleaning and emptying of the nooks and crannies needs to occur as soon as possible. Items can be contributed to the Strawberry Festival (June 7) white elephant sale tables; a location will be designated for these donations.

We have many groups and organizations that use our facilities. A cleanup and exchange day to consolidate materials that might be used by outside groups is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 (or May 17).

Susan Hutton has agreed to coordinate the storage process. If storage is a necessity for your group, that information needs to be reported, and you will be assigned a designated space. You must let Susan know even if you don't think your current storage space is affected.

Thanks to everyone for helping with this important step as we launch the construction phase of the renovations.
Cheryl Thurber, Chair of the Building Projects Committee
Susan Hutton, Trustee in Charge of Storage

Leave the subject line blank, and put ONLY the following line in the body of the message: subscribe members-and-friends John Calvin (assuming your name is John Calvin; but if it isn't, use your own name!). If you have any problem signing up, contact webmaster@catonsvillepresb.org, who will sign you up! Jason Tang
