"You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; You are my God, I will extol you. O give thanks to the Lord, for God is good.” Psalm 118:28-29.
Worship at Catonsville Presbyterian Church is at the center of all that we do. Our ministries flow from our time in worship. CPC’s worship service is rooted in the Reformed tradition, with a focus on God’s grace claimed in Christ as God’s beloved children and our response of deep gratitude. We pray, sing, and confess our faith. Our service is a blend of both traditional and contemporary styles of worship, reaching all members of our diverse congregation. Preaching is central to our worship experience, when God’s Word is revealed to us in scripture and through interpretation. We celebrate the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism in response to God’s grace. Worship is our response to the reverence, mystery, and majesty of God. It’s a primary way for us to share our gifts. In worship we gather as a community of God’s people and then are sent out in ministry and service in God’s world.
“Q. What is the chief end of humanity? A. Humanity’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy God forever.” Westminster Confession of Faith
